Yuta signed with Pinnacle in 2005. Yuta was the first Japanese born player to play in the NBA while playing for the Phoenix Suns in 2004-2005. In 05-06 Yuta played for the Alberquerque Jam of the NBDL. Won Rookie of the Year honors while with the Toyota Alvark of the Japan Basketball League
