Damir signed with Pinnacle in 2004 and was selected in the 2nd round of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He will play for the Bucks this season after signing a multi-year deal with the team. Damir is also a member of the Croatian National Team. Markota has been one of the leading players in Europe due to his shooting touch and athleticism. At nearly seven feet tall, Damir can drain "threes" with ease. He also has explosiveness to his game. Damir dominated at the 2005 European U-21 Championships.
